A kart suit only protects you properly when it fits properly. Too tight, and it pulls across the shoulders and waist every time you turn the wheel; too loose, and fabric bunches, catches and wears in the wrong places. This guide gives you the full Cherry Mavericks karting suit size chart, shows you how to take each measurement, and explains the kids and adult sizes so you can order with confidence.
All measurements are in centimetres. Chest, waist and hips are body measurements; height is your overall height range for that size.

Measure over light clothing, with the tape flat against the body and snug without pulling tight. For chest, run the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades, keeping it level all the way around. For waist, measure around your natural waistline, where your body bends when you lean to one side, not where your trousers sit. For hips, stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, because this is the measurement that works hardest when you sit in the kart. For height, stand barefoot against a wall and measure from the floor to the top of your head. If someone can help you, the measurements will be more accurate, especially chest and hips. Write the four numbers down before you look at the chart, so you choose the size your body needs rather than the size you expected.
Kids sizes are named by height: 120 cm, 140 cm and 158 cm. Those numbers are the suit sizes, and each one pairs with chest, waist and hip ranges in the chart. A 120 cm suit, for example, fits a chest of 60 to 63 cm and a height of about 130 to 136 cm. Do not order by age: two children of the same age can be a full size apart, and the measurements are the only reliable guide. Adult sizes start at 3XS (European 44) and run to 4XL (European 66). The adult labels overlap the top kids size around the 152 to 157 cm height range, so a tall junior may fit either a 158 cm kids suit or a 3XS adult suit; choose by chest, waist and hips, not by the label.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. A kart suit is not worn standing at a counter; it is worn seated, leaned forward, with your waist, hips and knees bent and your arms raised to the wheel for session after session. That position shortens the effective length across your back and seat, and a suit that felt fine standing up can pull uncomfortably once you are in the kart. Sizing up gives your shoulders and hips room to move, lets air circulate better on hot days, and leaves space for layers underneath in cold weather. This is also why stretch panels at the back and arms help, but they are a comfort feature, not a substitute for ordering the right size.
If your measurements do not match any single row, for example a tall driver with a smaller chest, or a junior between heights, use the Custom size option available on the Level 2 Standard suits. A custom size suit is made to your own measurements, so send your chest, waist, hips and height exactly as you took them, and double check the numbers before you submit them. For gloves, use the gloves size chart in the product gallery of the suits that include matching gloves. And whatever size you order, check the chart again if you are buying for a growing junior mid season: a quick remeasure takes two minutes and prevents an avoidable exchange.
Take chest, waist, hips and height measurements, match them to the chart on this page, and size up if you fall between sizes. For measurements that do not match one row, use the Custom size option.
No. Kids sizes 120 cm, 140 cm and 158 cm are based on measurements and height, not age. Measure your child and match the chart.
A ladies fit is available, and the matching gloves family offers Men and Women fitting. Measure the same way and use the same chart; the fit options handle the shaping.
Because each piece is personalized, please check the size chart carefully before ordering. Our Returns and Exchanges policy page has the full terms for custom orders.
